The Cherry Pie guitar group runs on a Tuesday evening from 8pm-9.30pm and is aimed at intermediate and advanced adult guitarists who want a challenging group that will teach you how to sound like the pros. You'll also meet other guitarists and gain experience playing with other people.
Most guitarists reach a point where they can play quite well and don't know how to move forward. You know there's more to learn but it's not in any of the books or courses you can buy. 1-1 lessons teach you everything you need to know, but you want to put it into practice, play with and feed off of other guitarists at your level.
The Adult Guitar Group is designed exactly for you. Every week we look at a different aspect of guitar playing, whether a particular musical style or genre, a particular song, looking in depth at soloing, rhythm or whatever else. Artistically the sessions are tailored to the interests of the participants, so you'll always be learning the music you want to learn. Of course, being able to play with other people is an essential skill for any guitarist, so there's also a large focus on jamming and playing together with the rest of the group. As you progress there's also the opportunity to play in our concerts and public performances
Guitar Group meets every Tuesday night at Cherry Pie from 8.00 - 9.30pm. The cost is £5 per session and you can come for a free taster session to try it out. Just send us an email and let us know to expect you.
