Ian Roa - Guitar
Ian started his music journey at the age of 14 in his home country, Puerto Rico. After four years learning pop and rock music, he started his formal musical studies in the Puerto Rico Music Conservatory (Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico) where he completed his undergraduate in Classical Guitar Performance. In this period he studied with various Classical Guitarists such as Luis Enrique Julia, Manuel Barrueco and René Izquierdo. Ian has also performed in various Master Classes for Classical Guitar Artists such as French Guitarist and Composer Roland Dyens and the Italian Classical Guitar group Solo Dúo. In 2014 he was a finalist and winner of multiple medals in the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, California. After graduating, Ian started teaching Guitar, Bass and Ukulele in multiple Music Schools in Puerto Rico. In 2021 he completed his Masters in Popular Music Practice (Entrepreneurship) at BIMM, London.
