Lindsay – Head of Singing (Classical, Musical Theatre)

Lindsay has a degree in music from Huddersfield University and a postgraduate diploma in opera performance from Birkbeck College. She has done extensive classical work, including operatic work singing first lady in Mozarts The Magic Flute, the sorceress in Dido and Aenas and Suor Dolcina in Suor Angelica, as well as extensive chorus work. As well as operatic singing Lindsay regularly sings with choral societies as a soloist and has sung at the prestigious Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. She also sings at corporate functions and charity events with the vocal quartet Divas.

Lindsay is also experienced in other genres of music, most especially musical theatre, and has played roles in Joseph, Little Shop of Horrors, Showboat, The Sound of Music and La Cage aux Folles.

As well as singing Lindsay also plays the cello and has played with numerous orchestras in Lincolnshire, where she grew up.

Lindsay is an experienced teacher and has taught singing at many schools and colleges. she has also directed vocal ensembles and run evening classes in singing for adults. As well as teaching at Cherry Pie, Lindsay also teaches at Stagecoach in Wimbledon, and runs the Cherry Pie Choir.
