Eivind has been playing guitar since the age of 14, playing in a variety of bands from jazz to progressive rock in his native Norway, before he moved to London in 2004 in order to further his guitar career. He went on to do a degree in Popular Music at the London College of Music, where he studied under such well known teachers as Shaun Baxter, John Wheatcroft, and Femi Temowo. He achieved a first class honours degree there and was also awarded the title of “Guitarist of the Year”.

Eivind now plays around London in various groups, including playing for singer/songwriter Sarah William White, and also has his own jazz trio with drummer Graham Godfrey (Sowetho Kinch, Jazz Jamaica) and fellow graduate Chris Borud on bass.

Eivind is a popular teacher, and has a friendly and patient approach to his lessons. He is equally at home teaching young children and advanced players. When not teaching, rehearsing or gigging, Eivind spends his time watching football, telemark skiing (!) or cooking a mean steak and potato.
