Guitarist James has a 1st class degree in Popular Music Performance from the Guitar Institute and won a scholarship for his masters degree from the London College of Music. James has been playing gigs all around London for the past 3 years with various bands and artists, particularly with blues/jazz/soul group the Tommy Ludgate Band. He is also busy in the studio, working on commercial albums both with the band and with a singer in a separate project. Whilst most of James’s performing centres around jazz, he is equally at home in rock and pop styles. As well as teaching at Cherry Pie James also teaches at a secondary school and works for guitar school Guitar X, playing at their jazz performance workshops.
