Alessandro Puddu – Guitar
Alessandro is a very versatile and experienced guitarist with more than 30 years international experience as a tutor and performer. He started learning by ear classic rock guitarists such as Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore and Edward Van Halen. Then he focussed on Jazz-Rock/Fusion guitarists such as Al Di Meola, John Mc Laughlin, Allan Holdsworth, Pat Metheny, Frank Gambale, John Scofield and Scott Henderson. Then he explored the style of acoustic guitarists such as Andy Mc Kee.
He played in a variety of context and styles, from rock to pop and jazz, in small clubs and theatres across Europe.
He studied classic composition and solfeggio and has a degree in Jazz as well a degree in Philosophy. Recently has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the Institute of Education, London.
Active in London since 2010, for many years he has been an appreciated tutor at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), writing guitar modules for their Bachelor in Creative Musicianship and teaching hundreds of international students at level 5 ( Higher Diploma) till 7(Master). He also wrote several articles for the international magazine Guitar Technique and is a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors and the Incorporated Society of Musicians.
He likes to explore the instrument and love to inspire and motivate students to be curious, creative and express themselves through the music, no matter their level or age.
