Elliot Galvin is a Jazz pianist, composer and educator. He is an up and coming pianist on the UK improvised music scene, performing and having his music performed at a number of prestigious venues around Britain including the QEH, Ronnie Scott’s and The Vortex. He is a co-founder of the Chaos Collective, with whom he won the MBF development award in 2011, and a prolific side-man, playing in the Laura Jurd Quartet, The Chaos Orchestra, London Soundpainting Orchestra and many other notable ensembles. He plans to bring out his debut album on the Chaos Collective label in early 2014.
As a composer he has written a number of exciting new pieces including Decomposition, which featured Oren Marshall, and received a 4 star review in the London Evening Standard. He has also worked with choreographer Tony Thatcher to write music with dance, including a new commission to be performed in Serbia early next year.
As a teacher he has taught primarily on a one to one basis, but has also been involved in running a number of successful workshops.
