Oles – Piano
Oles Klok began his piano studies in Ukraine, under the tutorship of M.A. Nivelt. He was the winner of several regional and national piano competitions. When 16, he was awarded a full scholarship to study at Wells Cathedral School as a specialist musician with John Byrne.
Oles has been a prize-winner at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, winning the Ramsay Calder Debussy Prize and receiving awards at the Bamber Galloway and Governor’s Recital Competitions. He has also been a finalist in the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship Competition, and a shortlisted competitor in the James Mottram and Isidor Bajic International Piano competitions.
He has benefitted from master classes with Arie Vardi, Steven Osbourne, Jean-Philippe Collarde, Leon Fleischer and Joseph Banowitz, among others. He graduated with first-class honours from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly known as the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama), and received distinction for his Masters of Music degree from the RCS. Oles spent six months studying at the Universitat der Kunst in Berlin with Professor Elena Lapitskaja.
Currently Oles enjoys a busy schedule as a chamber musician and a piano teacher
