Rosie – Piano
In 2007, Rosie won a place to study at the prestigious Purcell School of Music, London UK with a full scholarship. After completion of her studies, Rosie studied with Douglas Finch at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Rosie graduated in 2013, and in the same year, she was awarded first prize in the John Halford Competition for contemporary piano music. She also made her concerto debut with a performance of Mozart Piano Concerto K.449.
In 2016 Rosie was awarded a Master’s degree in piano performance from the University of British Columbia. She studied in the studio of Dr Corey Hamm and was the recipient of multiple scholarships. During her time at UBC she was 1st prize winner at the Vancouver International Festival of Russian Music and performed across Canada and the USA.
Teaching in a range of different cultures has led Rosie to firmly believe that the most important part of teaching piano to be nurturing a student’s passion for their instrument and for music making.
