Sofia – Contemporary Singing
Sofia has been writing songs and performing as a live vocalist since she was a teenager. Sofia is a graduate of the famous BRIT School of Performing Arts, and with a Bachelors Degree in Contemporary Music, she pursued a professional career both as a live performer and in the studio.
Her career has taken her around the world, all across Europe with The Slicer Boys , DJs TechnoBoy & Tuneboy, DJ Stephanie and music producer Factor23 - and in the US, with music promoter Oscar Llord and music producer Loris Ceroni. She’s also composed and performed music for adverts produced by Irma Records in Italy.
Her live work includes collaborations with many great musicians, including Massimo Greco, trumpet player for the famous Italian artist Zucchero (Sugar) as well as writing and performing with funk-soul band Tyro Project – including supporting Grammy-nominated Tommy Emanuel – and as a backing vocalist for American R&B/Soul artists, Nick Rolfe, Toni Green & Sax Gordon.
Sofia has been teaching for more than five years, both as a personal vocal tutor and in music academies across Europe. she has coached people of all ages and musical styles, from children through to professional artists and bands, providing workshops and masterclasses that help with a range of performance techniques, from preparing for live auditions through to studio sessions, songwriting and vocal arrangements.
