Lessons for children
Music is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child. At Cherry Pie we are dedicated to teaching and inspiring children with an ability and love for music that will last a lifetime.
There are many benefits for children of learning an instrument. Several recent studies have shown that children who learn an instrument also show increased intelligence and greater concentration. Music is a social activity and the ability to play will open doors to meet people and make new friends throughout your child’s life. The ability to express yourself through music develops as children grow older and music often provides an outlet and focus through teenage years and later life.
Regardless of what they do later in life, music will stay with your child. They may grow up to play in a band or orchestra in their spare time, to do some private teaching, or writing and performing their own songs. Perhaps take it all the way and become a professional musician playing concerts across the world.
Learning an instrument takes some work, but at Cherry Pie we believe that music should first and foremost be FUN. We focus on what your child wants to learn and on use teaching styles and material that suits their particular tastes, personality and learning style.
At Cherry Pie all our teachers are experienced with and enjoy working with children. We look hard at interviews for teachers who are passionate about working with children and can show an excellent ability to motivate and inspire. We operate a continual programme of training and sharing advice and tips to help our teachers keep growing in confidence and teaching talent over the course of their careers with us.
All our teachers hold CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) enhanced disclosure clearance as required by law. To uphold our high standards and for your peace of mind teachers also have to demonstrate a basic understanding of child protection and correct procedure at their interview. They then receive further training in child protection and good practice when working with children once they start work. All teachers work within a comprehensive child protection framework designed to support both child and teacher.
