Laura began playing the violin at just six years old, quickly developing a lifelong passion for music. Growing up in Sussex, she performed regularly as a soloist and ensemble musician, winning prizes at music festivals and leading her school orchestra.



At fourteen, Laura continued her studies at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, studying with renowned violin teachers and performers. Since then, her career has taken her across the world, performing, recording and teaching in the UK, Spain, Chile, Japan and beyond.

Laura has performed with ensembles including the BBC Concert Orchestra and The Virtuosi Ensemble, as well as working across many musical styles, from classical and Baroque to Flamenco and Tango. She has also taught in schools, privately, and led youth ensembles and professional string groups.

For Laura, teaching is about much more than learning the notes. She loves helping students build confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of music, encouraging every child to find their own voice through the violin.

Away from music, Laura’s great passion is dance, particularly Latin and Tango.

She is delighted to bring her experience, enthusiasm, and love of the violin to Cherry Pie Music.
