Richard is a South African composer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in London, specializing in music for film, television, and theatre. He studied music at Durham University before pursuing composition at the Royal College of Music under Dimitri Scarlato and piano performance with Kathron Sturrock. His collaborations include Tête à Tête Opera, the English National Ballet School, Frozen Light Theatre Group, Mo Phoenix, Sebb Masters, and Emmy Award-winner Hugh Wooldridge.
Richard has taught piano since 2019 across all age groups and strives to instil a love for music, performance, and creativity in his students. His teaching approach emphasizes technical mastery while fostering individual expression, ensuring that students not only develop strong foundational skills but also grow their own artistic voices.
