Santiago is a dedicated and dynamic guitar teacher with over nine years of experience in performance, production, songwriting, arranging, and one-to-one tuition across a wide range of genres. Originally from Mexico City, Santiago's musical journey is rooted in versatility and passion for sharing music.
He holds a BA in Contemporary Music from Anáhuac University in Mexico, where he specialized in Jazz Guitar and Music Education. Continuing to develop his artistry and academic training, Santiago earned an MMus in Popular Music from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Since 2022, he has been based in London, teaching guitar in both English and Spanish. Santiago has worked with students of all ages and skill levels—from complete beginners to advanced players—helping them achieve their personal and professional goals. Known for his friendly and adaptable teaching style, he tailors each lesson to suit the student's musical interests while keeping sessions fun, inspiring, and effective.

Santiago has completed the new Cherry Pie Music Teacher Training Programme, an intensive course for graduate musicians. This programme equips teachers with comprehensive skills in one-to-one tuition and provides valuable real-world teaching experience. We are delighted to welcome Santiago to the Cherry Pie Music team from September 2025 and are excited for the expertise they will bring to their teaching.
