Fabrice – Guitar
Fabrice Richard Favre Born in a European musical family, Fabrice Favre was raised with a Classical Music background, playing piano as his first instrument under his mother’s private tuition starting at the age of 6 years old. Following his mother’s passion in Classical Music, Fabrice later studied violin for a short while until discovering Pop and Rock Music. Born and raised in Hollywood, California, Fabrice shot for the stars playing in bands as a bass guitarist and later specializing in guitar of all genres including; Classical, Flamenco, Rock, Metal, Blues, Country and Jazz Guitar. Fabrice then took his passion for guitar further by playing professionally touring with the Jazz/Pop trio The Lettermen at the age of 19 years old. Touring Japan and the United States, Fabrice performed many of the great hits The Lettermen were famous for in the late 1960’s to the 1970’s; “Put Your Head On My Shoulder”, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You/ I Love You Baby” medley, “Shangri-La”, “MacArthur Park” and many more.
Completing his grades in Classical Guitar, Fabrice later expanded his musical techniques studying Music Composition, Orchestration and Music Production graduating with a BMus from the London College of Music. Furthering his music career in Music Composition and Music Production he composed and produced music for TV such as The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, SiTV Television Network and Video Games such as the first release of the 5 chapter trilogy, Saints Row. As an established studio musician in Hollywood playing 5 string bass and 6 string guitar, Fabrice played on several commercial releases with signed bands such as the lead singer of System Of A Down Serj Tankian’s debut album Elect The Dead, Scars On Broadway’s debut album, Groove Junkies single “Paradise”, Jez Collins and many more.
Fabrice continues his thirst for music currently as a Sound Designer for Educational Interactive Media as well as teaching drums, guitar and bass full time to pupils of all grades and ages. He has studied Classical Guitar with Ronald Purcell (head of the guitar department at California State University of Northridge and student of the late Andre Segovia since 1964); Flamenco Guitar with Benito Palacios (a well known performer in the Hollywood Flamenco circuit and student of the late Sabicas); Neo Flamenco Guitar with Jorge Strunz (cofounder and member of Strunz & Farah); and Jazz Guitar with Steve Cardinez (a well known performer and educator in the New York Jazz circuit). He also holds a BMus in Music Composition from London College of Music, as well as LCM Certificates in Studio Techniques 1 & 2.
