Polina Dongarova – Violin
Polina was born in Ryazan, Russia. She started playing violin at 6 years old and after a few months she won her first violin competition. She achieved a Russian Diploma in Violin in the Academic Music College of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2009 and took a Bachelor Degree in the State Classic Academy of Moscow in 2012. In that period she played with various orchestras and ensembles, and worked as a violin teacher in the music schools. Winner of many competitions she participated in master classes with I.Bochkova, E.Grach, J.Makeckis and others famous musicians. Polina moved to Italy in 2012 where she undertook her Master Degree in the Conservatory of Milan with professor Manuel Meo in 2014.
She has lived in UK since 2014 and is an active professional musician. She has participated in many performances and organizations such as The Geminiani Project, Omnes Musica, the ULSO orchestra and others. She has over 8 years of teaching experience in music schools and as a freelance teacher in Russia, Italy and UK. Besides her native Russian she speaks fluently in English and in Italian languages.
